We had another great Q&A last week on Spaces. Tune in this week for our open mic. Follow us to RSVP and get your music heard.
How Jadyn Violet Used Sound to Reach More Onchain Music Collectors
Jadyn Violet joined Sound in 2022 with his genesis drop “Good Always Turns Evil” where he grossed 1.75 ETH. Since then, he’s released three more tracks, as well as appearing on tracks with LNRZ, NOISE DAO, Aly, X&ND, and more.
Recently, he launched his PFP collection Raver Realm - a music based PFP project that has already raised over 15 ETH. His latest release “Halo Dreamer” provides a link to this collection - giving Sound collectors special rewards for collecting.
His involvement on Sound has been helpful to his growth as one of the top earning artists onchain today. Here’s what he had to say about his experience:
“Super grateful to take advantage of being early to the on chain music culture that is forming here in web3 and on sound in its very early stages. The best movements are made when things are initially not understood, and I am glad to be at the right side of history this time around!”

Takeaways from Jadyn’s Success
Jadyn found his community through countless hours of grassroots marketing. He’s engaged a core group of fans through his Spaces and raves. He’s used Sound to reward collectors, like when he rewarded fans with a surprise 50 edition free mint for listeners in his Space. His drops also often connect to bigger initiatives - with his new song “Halo Dreamer” allowing Sound collectors to get exposure to his PFP collection Raver Realm by collecting five limited editions.
You can follow the same strategy by identifying your biggest fans, finding their contact information on their Sound profile, and reaching out. The deeper connections often found in Web3 can go a long way for the artist and collector relationship.

Breaking Artist: Acutek
Scottish DJ Acutek has topped the Beatport Techno charts over and over again with his own releases and several from his label Flick. He's also built a considerable following onchain with 13 drops on Sound. He’s taken advantage of many opportunities the space has offered such as being a participant in Telegram groups like The Green Room and Invest in Music, as well as making an appearance on Ziggy Ziggy’s first mixtape.
“Dropping music in Web3 for me is a breath of fresh air where I can experiment and meet new people along the journey. It's been great fun dropping on Sound and getting my music to a new area of the internet where I can tell who is supporting as previously I had no data to back this up. I'm a bit of a data nerd and love digging into this area to learn more about who is enjoying my music.”
Check out his latest track, “All Night“ minting now.
