How Clear eyes connected with fans on Sound so he could focus on the music
Clear eyes is a producer from Brooklyn, NY. Being the producer half of the artist project Marian Hill, he was one of the first artists to ever drop on the platform, with their song “remember me.“ He’s since released more music with Marian Hill, in addition to releasing tracks from his solo project.
Clear eyes has dropped 18 songs on Sound, with his genesis drop “sunrise (ft. Lophiile)” releasing in April of 2022. In addition to those drops, he’s also appeared on a variety of tracks with top artists on the platform. He worked with Reo Cragun to release CACOPHONY, a project with 250 limited editions. He also worked with bloody white on “DIALOGUE,“ an experiment where the two of them progressively responded to each other, making a full song by the end.
Being on Sound allowed him to connect directly to fans and monetize his relationships in a way that allowed him to have more time to make music. Here’s what he had to say about his experience:
“I was first drawn to Sound because I yearned for curation that wasn’t algorithmic - I owe a lot of my career to real, human curation from the Hype Machine era and am eager to return to similar methods of discovery. It’s also a fun outlet for crazy random demos and experiments that might not be ready for the harsh lights of DSPs.”
Across all of his drops on Sound, he’s generated over $61K in sales volume, while collaboration with many artists from the Sound community. Check out his latest drop, “NOT AWAKE (ft Vaarwell),” minting now.
Takeaways from Clear eyes’ Success
Clear eyes has focused on creating quality music and embracing experimentation onchain. He’s worked with a variety of artists that have also had a presence on Sound, and he’s pushed the limit of what onchain musical collaborations could look like.
He’s also been active in many artist and producer communities, such as LNRZ, where he has played a major role. He also has his own Telegram chat for collectors of his music.
If you’re a producer, you can copy his strategy by reaching out to other artists in the community and putting out music that people want to collect.

Breaking Artist: NIDO
NIDO is a musician and producer from Norway. He’s dropped 17 tracks so far, many of them claiming top spots on the Viral Chart. Besides dropping music, he’s also been a collector and curator with a collection of over 100 Sounds, and an active presence on the feed. Here’s what he said about his experience so far:
“The most important thing for me is being able to connect and communicate with my listeners and supporters. Sound helps me achieve that in a powerful way! With Sound, I can directly interact with the people who enjoy my music, and they can tell me what they think about it firsthand. Making music is even better this way because I have no restraints, and I feel much closer to the people who love it.”
Check out his new song “Hiding“ which peaked at #7 on the Viral Chart.
